Know Why Neocons Support Coup in Honduras?

US-HONDURAS: Dictatorships and Double Standards Revisited
Analysis by Daniel Luban and Jim Lobe*

The political Right has historically been in favor of dictators that are “friendly” to US interests. (The left too, which the article fails to mention)

Whether the leftist governments that have been overthrown are democratically elected matters not. What matters is that the dictators will be friendly to US interests.

The article fails to put blame on democrats like Clinton who went along with this same policy in Haiti.

Republicans are trying to do away with their historical support for US friendly dictators and want to be seen as supporting and exporting democracy. The only ones who will believe this are the gullible and historically uninformed.
